With a degree in Illustration, but with a professional career linked to production and management of artists, it was in 2015 that she decided to resume her artistic practice.
She lived 15 years in the UK, where she worked with Raqib Shaw, Stanza, Alexandra Mir and managed artist spaces and communities in South London for arebyte/arbeit.
Since completing an MA in Artist Books and Fine Art at the University of the Arts London, she has exhibited and published work that investigates through language, sculpture, print and video, phenomenological propositions on Geology, provides social-political commentary and appropriates frameworks from other disciplines such as Biomimicry, Stratigraphy and Linguistics.
With a GreenTech Enterprise grant from University College London - Institute for Global Prosperity in 2018, Inês created Cyclic Matter in Portugal, an artistic organization aiming to create strategies and platforms for the transition to a more eco-centric culture.
She is editor-in-chief of JAWS - Journal of Arts Writing by Students, an international journal published by Intellect, aimed at publishing writing by master's or doctoral students.
