Catarina Lopes Vicente

Catarina Lopes Vicente (Lisbon, 1991) lives and works in Cacém, Sintra.

Master's degree in Fine Arts from ESAD.CR, 2015.

Since 2013 she has been exploring the different possibilities of drawing. More recently, his work seeks to deepen the relationship between walking and the discovery of objects, through the production of objects/sculptures and the practice of drawing.

Her work includes the solo exhibition Fôlego, the group exhibition Forma em Formação, Brotéria (2023). Forma em Formação, Brotéria (2023). Also noteworthy is her participation in the Visual Arts Course organised by FLAD, ARQUIPÉLAGO - Centro de Artes Contemporâneas, Azores (2022) and the solo exhibition resulting from the LisbonWeek residency, Marvila (2022).

In 2023, she was one of the winning artists in the 2nd edition of the Caixa competition for Young Artists.

Recently selected and finalist for the Norberto Fernandes Prize, Altice (2024).
