Madalena Lopes, 1997, Caldas da Rainha.
Visual artist with a background in communication and product design. Through sculptures, paintings, texts and films, her experimental practice explores the intimate relationship between human beings and artifice. As such, she engages with tensions around notions of art, labour, productivity, autonomy, obsolescence and ecology. Her most recent project, Fleshing out Dissidence, condemns models of unlimited growth to present a critical framework in which technological development can be thought of in terms of archaeological and anthropological investigation. Moreover, the film delves into the subversive potential of inactivity, slowness and corporeality. Through design and fiction, her master's thesis explored forms of making in resistance to the dominant mode of production.

Léo Raphaël, 1994, Roaix.
With a degree in architecture, he is an illustrator and author of essays on diverse subjects such as shopping malls, tourism, cybersecurity, the cloud, pornography and sports betting. Often combining ingenious visuals with incisive writing, his work seeks to question dominant narratives about identity, territory, intimacy and the commons. Unsettling scenarios represented by naïve images or the parody of unexpected forms of power bring together humour and cynicism - meeting points of pleasure and thought. Currently, he takes advantage of everyday life to dedicate himself to spontaneous projects that explore the subversive field of the imaginary. Some of Léo's articles have been published in Delva magazine, Rife magazine and Etat des Lieux magazine. His master's thesis was awarded the Prix Mémoire. His final project was exhibited in a group exhibition at the Kanal Pompidou Centre.
