Sérgio A. Fazenda Rodrigues (Lisbon 1973) is an architect, curator and university teacher – Univ.Açores (2005-2012) / E.U.Vasco da Gama (2013/14) / FBAUL (2019/20). He addresses critique and curatorship on Architecture and the Visual Arts, is a member of the Portuguese branch of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA) and sat on its Board in 2015. He is the author of A Casa dos Sentidos (Ed.Uzina, 2013), cofounder of Palenque publishing project (2016), editor and regular collaborator for art magazine Contemporânea. Between 2010 and 2012, he was, on a permanent basis, a cultural consultant for the Regional Government of the Azores/Direção Regional da Cultura. He was, also, an episodic consultant for the Portuguese Government/Direção Geral das Artes and jury for Ágora – Cultura e Desporto/Oporto Municipality. As an independent curator, Sérgio works with institutions, galleries, collectors, and independent spaces, in Portugal (MAAT/Museum Art Architecture and Technology, CCB/Berardo Museum, Carmona e Costa Foudation, Leal Rios Foundation, Walk&Talk Festival, Galerias Municipais de Lisboa, Appleton Square, etc.), Spain, Belgium and the United Kingdom.
