Alda Galsterer (Germany, 1978)

Lives and works in Lisbon since 2004.

Master Degree in Art History and Portuguese and English Language and Literature from the University of Tübingen, DE (2003) and a Master's degree in Curatorial Studies from FBAUL in consortium with the Gulbenkian Foundation (2010).

She is an art historian, curator, gallery owner and cultural programmer.

She is co-founder and director of Galeria Belo-Galsterer (since 2012), and also a member and founder of the ARCCSL Association that manages the Carpintarias de São Lázaro Cultural Centre in Lisbon (since 2014).

She writes for exhibition catalogues, art and culture magazines,

In the past she collaborated as producer of exhibitions and catalogues with CAM / Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon (2004-2008), collaborated in communication, production and artist liaison with galleries such as Filomena Soares (2004) and Baginski (2007-2011).

She was co-founder and curator of one of the largest projects for the dissemination and national and international promotion of contemporary art in Portugal: the MAP Project - Map of Artists of Portugal (2010-2020).

For a decade she also worked as cultural mediator of several major museums in Lisbon, including CAM, MAAT, and the Berardo Museum, with which she continues to work occasionally.
