ALEXANDRE BAPTISTA
Graduated in Plastic Arts - Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto and attended the master's degree in Contemporary Artistic Practices at that same faculty.
He lived and worked in Miami and London, currently lives in Portugal.
Responsible for the conception, programming, and curatorship of the cycle “Drawing as Thought”.
He exhibits since 1988, participated in several solo and collective exhibitions in Portugal and abroad. He received several painting and drawing awards.
His work is represented in several public and private collections, including the Figueiredo Ribeiro-Contemporary Art Collection, Norlinda and José Lima Collection, ANJE - Porto, Montepio Geral Collection, Amadeo Souza Cardoso Museum, BMW - Bavaria Museum, as well as in the USA, France, Brazil, Macau, Russia and England
His work is reproduced in books and catalogues.
