Ana Anacleto (Lisbon, 1975) has a degree in Plastic Arts – Sculpture, from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon (2000), having been awarded a scholarship by HdK – Hochschule der Künste, in Berlin (1999). In 2005 she completed a postgraduate degree in Curatorial Studies at FBAUL / Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, and is currently a doctoral student in Contemporary Art at Colégio das Artes, University of Coimbra. 

She teaches “Curatorial Practices” in the Postgraduate Course in Curatorship, at FCSH – Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

Institutionally, she worked as a specialized technician in contemporary art at the Institute of Contemporary Art (MC), between 2001 and 2003, she was assistant and coordinator of Julião Sarmento's studio, between 2003 and 2015, and between 2015 and 2018 she was curator and curatorial coordinator at MAAT – Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology/ EDP Foundation, in Lisbon.

At the same time, and since 2003, she has worked as an independent curator, having developed curatorial, exhibition and editorial projects with (among others): the Serralves Museum, MACE, Culturgest, CAV, CAPC, Colégio das Artes, Atelier - Júlio Pomar Museum, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Quadrum/ EGEAC Gallery, Carmona e Costa Foundation, Appleton Square, Travessa da Ermida, ZDB Gallery, PLMJ Foundation, LUX Frágil, Krinzinger Projekte – Viena, o ArteInstitute – NY, Galeria 3+1, Galeria Nuno Centeno, Galeria Cristina Guerra Contemporary Art, Galeria Caroline Pagés, Galeria Lehmann+Silva,   Giefarte, Pavilhão Centro de Portugal, Barrantes Contemporary Art Barracks, the Monastery of Alcobaça, the Palacete de São Bento/ Official Residence of the Prime Minister of Portugal, the Instituto Camões,  or  the magazines XXI – Ter Opinião (Fundação Francisco Manuel dos Santos),  L+Arte, Umbigo and Contemporânea.

She published several essays, texts and articles; made public communications at conferences, seminars and academic events; carried out thematic guided tours in collaboration with various museum institutions; he was a member of selection and award juries for Scholarships, Awards and Artist Residencies; and held several public conversations with artists as part of various exhibition projects.

 

João Silvério He has a Master's Degree in Curatorial Studies from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, and is currently an associate curator of the contemporary art collection of PLMJ Foundation and RAMA – Residências Artisticas.
He started his activity as an independent curator in 2003, and in October 2007, he created the independent project EMPTY CUBE which has presented projects by artists, designers and architects. 
Last month, its independent publisher EMPTY CUBE_reader released its first artists' edition. Among other roles, he regularly writes about artistic projects in catalogues, publications and websites.
